We are excited to announce the launch of the first edition of the Healthy Cities Programme, an opportunity for cities eager to explore the deep connections between urban environments and health.
Are you looking to identify your city’s vulnerabilities in relation to urban health?
Do you want to prioritise actions that respond to local health needs?
Or perhaps you need to assess the health impact of your plan or project?
Our innovative tool, the Healthy Cities Generator, is here to help, and the Healthy Cities Programme is your chance to experience it with expert guidance.
What’s on offer?
Through this first call, up to five cities will be selected to receive a free Urban Health Quick Scan, carried out with the support of our expert team.
This study will provide key insights and recommendations for shaping urban development that supports citizens’ health and wellbeing: establishing a clear baseline, identifying priorities, and even estimating potential health-care savings from targeted urban interventions.
Selected cities will benefit from:
- A free Urban Health Quick Scan
- 15 hours of expert support from the Healthy Cities team
- Access to the professional features of the Healthy Cities Generator
- The opportunity to become a pilot city, featured on our website as a reference in urban health
- Visibility and communication opportunities, including participation in a webinar to showcase results and other dissemination events.
What are we looking for?
We invite cities that:
- Are committed to improving urban health
- Can participate in two meetings (kick-off and delivery)
- Are able to share basic urban and health data with our team
- Are willing to provide feedback after the process.
Timeline
- Apply by the 30th of November 2025. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, provided that all eligibility criteria are met.
- Announcement of the 5 selected cities: 15th of December 2025
- The programme is expected to start in mid-January 2026
