After months of deep diving into the ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐บ๐ฒ, we are excited to share what weโve learnt. Last week, we hosted a webinar to present findings from five cities and share our Quick Scan approach to better understand urban environments from a public health perspective. We were pleased to see much interest in the topic, receiving nearly 100 registrations from 25 countries.
Together with representatives from the five pilot cities (Madrid, ES; Liverpool & Lancaster, UK; Wollongong, AU; Apartadรณ, CO), we discussed how best to utilise the Quick Scan results and explored which aspects of our methodologies could be adapted for future city planning.
Mark Cassidy, Chief Officer of Planning and Climate Change at Lancaster City Council shared his experience:
โWe wanted to be able to utilise the experts’ support to build our plan, making it a success by identifying the health-related vulnerabilities and helping us consider what our urban health and wellbeing priorities should be.โ
It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from the community and see how these tools can be applied in diverse urban contexts.
