We are thrilled to announce that we have officially joined the Dutch Metropolitan Innovations ecosystem (DMI-ecosystem), a powerful network dedicated to smart, sustainable urban development.
Joining the DMI-ecosystem allows us to bring this interdisciplinary approach to a broader stage. While the network is already a leader in technical topics like digital transitions within urban planning, mobility, climate, and energy, Healthy Cities adds a crucial missing piece to the puzzle: the quantification of social and health impacts.
Collaboration as the basis of the DMI-ecosystem
We see a clear trend: municipalities are increasingly eager to apply the health lens to their urban interventions and show their impacts, yet they often lack the tools or the safe space to pilot these complex methodologies on their own.
By joining DMI, we offer that bridge. We bring a scientific-based methodology to a network of forward-thinking governments and private partners. Within the DMI framework, we can test and refine these models, using secure data-sharing standards like PDX to ensure that health becomes actionable in every urban project.
DMI-ecosystem as innovation powerhouse
The DMI-ecosystem is more than just a network; it’s an innovation powerhouse. Through knowledge sharing, lectures, and collaborative pilots, we aim to integrate our health-impact methodology into the core of future urban developments.
We aren’t just joining a network; we are joining a movement to make health a standard metric in the digital twins and urban designs of tomorrow.
Together with our new partners in the DMI-ecosystem, we are ready to turn data into positive health impact and well-being.
