We are excited to announce the official publication of the special monographic issue of Ciudad y Territorio Estudios Territoriales (CyTET). This volume brings together 19 articles from across Spain, Europe, and Latin America, organised into three key areas: Institutional Frameworks, Environments that Care, and Evidence-Based Action.
Beyond contributing our own research, we are incredibly proud to have been actively involved in the editing and coordination of this volume alongside leading peers.
Our team contributed two complementary articles to this issue, detailing both our digital tool development and our hands-on field protocols:
- The Healthy Cities Generator (HCG):
This paper captures the scientific methodology behind the Healthy Cities Generator, highlighting its role as a comprehensive tool for assessing the health and economic impacts of urban planning. - The HORUS Field Protocols:
This paper presents our specialised, GIS-based qualitative methodology, combining community focus groups, exploratory walks, and georeferencing to track how local urban environments shape healthy daily routines.
The full volume is open-access and available to read now. To explore the deep dives, specific algorithms, and field instructions, please visit our dedicated resource pages:
