Webinar: Mobility Impact Module

Join us next Friday, 16th of October, in an online session where we will present the latest addition to the Healthy Cities Generator: its Mobility Impact Module.

How we move around our cities impacts public health in multiple ways, far beyond reducing air pollution and increasing physical activity. While active modes of transport like walking and cycling improve physical health, further aspects, such as a reliable public transport network, can lower heart risks, support functional capacity, and improve depression rates and mental wellbeing.

The new Mobility Impact Module supports municipalities in evaluating the health impact of their mobility plans. The tool quantifies the health improvements that the planned actions could lead to, providing results on:

  • Impact across 22 physical and mental health indicators
  • Increased life expectancy and avoided mortality
  • Estimated economic savings driven by improved health outcomes.

Come along to learn how the module could support your specific needs, and see how it was applied in two recent case studies from Barcelona, where mobility and health teams came together to build a stronger case for active mobility investments.
